Reconciliation Action Plan

Our Commitment to Reconciliation

At Aussie Kindies Early Learning, we believe every child deserves to grow up in a world that values respect, inclusivity, and connection to culture. That's why we're proud to be part of Affinity Education Group's reconciliation journey, one built on honest reflection and real, practical action.

Affinity Education has developed its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. It lays out the steps we're taking to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, and cultures across our centres, our curriculum, and our team.

What Does This Mean for Families?

When your child comes to an Aussie Kindies centre, they're in an environment that genuinely celebrates Australia's First Nations peoples. From Acknowledgements of Country to real cultural learning experiences, our educators bring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into everyday routines and play.

It also means we're building welcoming, inclusive spaces for every family, where kids are curious, cultural learning is part of daily life, and everyone feels at home.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan in Practice

Our Reflect RAP is just the start. It sets out how Affinity Education will:

  • Providing cultural responsiveness training for all staff
  • Partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators, artists, and organisations, including Wandana Aboriginal Education
  • Celebrating cultural events such as National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week
  • Creating more opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and supporting First Nations-owned businesses
  • Fostering inclusive practices across all Aussie Kindies centres

These commitments are part of our Lifelong Learning Curriculum, giving kids the chance to learn about culture, land, stories, and community in a way that's genuine and age-appropriate.
