Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and the 3 Day Guarantee

Quality early education is more affordable than many families realise.

Most Australian families are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which can reduce out-of-pocket costs by up to 90%.

From 2026, the 3 Day Guarantee will ensure eligible families can access at least three days of subsidised care each week, supporting parents to work or study while children make friends, learn and grow in a high-quality setting.
