Confident, Curious and Ready for School

School Readiness Program (3–5 Years)

Starting school is a big milestone - for children and families. At Aussie Kindies, we’re here to help make that transition as smooth, supported, and successful as possible.

Our School Readiness Program, designed for children aged 3 to 5 years, helps your child build the confidence, independence, and skills they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

It’s the final stage of our exclusive Lifelong Learning Curriculum, supporting your child’s development every step of the way, from their very first day with us through to their very first day of school.

“Children who attend high-quality early childhood education programs are more likely to succeed in school, gain higher qualifications, and enjoy better health and employment outcomes later in life.”

Learning Through Projects, Play and Purpose

Our program combines project-based learning with play-based exploration, so your child can discover, ask questions, and learn in ways that feel natural, exciting and fun.

Whether they’re building a cardboard city or exploring how plants grow, your child will:

  • Lead their learning through hands-on exploration
  • Build independence, responsibility, and resilience
  • Work together with peers to solve problems and share ideas
  • Develop strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

Our educators gently guide your child through real-world investigations that help prepare them for the structured learning environment of primary school.

Thoughtful Use of Technology

Technology is part of the modern classroom, and we help your child build early digital skills through carefully selected, educator-led activities.

We use:

  • Mathseeds – building numeracy skills through fun games
  • Reading Eggs – supporting early reading and vocabulary development
  • Creative digital tools – for storytelling, drawing and problem-solving

These activities are always balanced with real-world play, connection, and conversation.

Enrichment Programs That Make Learning Fun

We believe school readiness is about more than just academics. That’s why our program includes enrichment experiences that support your child’s whole development - mind, body and heart.

These engaging programs make learning feel exciting and meaningful, and help your child understand their place in the wider world.

Ready for More Than Just the Classroom

Being “school ready” means more than being able to hold a pencil or recognise letters. It means being confident, capable and socially ready too.

By the time your child graduates from our School Readiness Program, they’ll be prepared to:

  • Follow instructions and classroom expectations
  • Manage their belongings and daily routines
  • Work in groups, take turns and share
  • Communicate their needs and emotions clearly
  • Approach new experiences with confidence and curiosity

We also work with local schools and families to support each child’s unique transition journey.

The Final Stage in the Lifelong Learning Curriculum

Our School Readiness Program is the final step in the Lifelong Learning Curriculum - a journey that begins in the nursery and builds each year to support your child’s growth. By the time they’re ready for school, your child will have developed the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills they need to succeed, not just in Prep, but in life.
