Meet Aimee Butler, our Centre Director

Hi, my name is Aimee Butler and I am the Centre Director at Aussie Kindies Woy Woy. I have over 16 years in early childhood education and care and hold a Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, Bachelor of Teaching (0-5 Years), Cert IV in Training & Assessment.

I am passionate about providing opportunities for children to connect with nature and to make a real difference in the way children approach learning in their life. I am passionate about learning why children do what they do. I enjoy learning about children’s behaviour, learning styles and needs. I am passionate about nurturing strong and positive connections between Educators and children. When there is a strong and positive relationship between children and their Educators, children feel safe, secure, and confident. I am passionate about creating learning experiences that foster creativity in children. After creating these experiences, I enjoy observing how children react, manipulate resources, and engage in the space.

Here at Aussie Kindies Woy Woy, we understand the needs of our local area. We venture out into our community and build connections with local community members. We have good relationships with the local schools in the area and work with local health professionals to support the individual needs of children. We take the time to get to know our families and many of us have worked here for almost a decade - some longer! We take a holistic approach and pay attention to children's physical, personal, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing, as well as cognitive aspects of learning. Most importantly, we have fun!

Lifelong Learning Starts Here!

Aussie Kindies' bachelor qualified teachers and experienced educators are trained in Affinity Education's Lifelong Learning Curriculum, Australia’s most advanced approach to early education for children from birth to age five. The Lifelong Learning Curriculum draws on the best models of early education, contemporary research and evidence informed practices such as Circle of Security, Abecedarian, and Project Based learning, and is based on what children learn, where they learn and how they learn. It aligns to Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework and offers a rich combination of play-based and intentional teaching experiences appropriate to each age group.

Healthy Beginnings

Babies aged 0-1 years

Your baby will start their lifelong learning journey with us in a safe, nurturing environment. Educators will:

  • Develop strong, positive bonds;
  • Encourage confidence to explore new surroundings;
  • Spark curiosity through sensory experiences; and
  • Establish helpful routines that support health and wellbeing.

Early Experiences

Toddlers aged 1-3 years

Your toddler will enjoy an exciting environment in which to explore and experiment as their confidence and social skills emerge. Educators will:

  • Introduce literacy and numeracy through learning games;
  • Support self expression through language skills; and
  • Develop social and friendship skills in group settings.

School Readiness

Children aged 3-5 years

Your child will be given the very best start before they begin primary school at Aussie Kindies! Educators will:

  • Guide self-awareness, self-help skills and socialisation;
  • Investigate literacy, mathematics, science, technology and the arts;
  • Stimulate creativity, deeper thinking and problem solving; and
  • Prepare children for classroom environments through play-based preschool and kindergarten programs.

We offer a government approved kindergarten (also known as kinder or preschool in some states) program and long day care under one roof. This is not only more convenient for you, it helps children prepare for the transition to 'big school', develop a love of learning and make friends.
